Herbert Brown

Story:
Herbert Brown was, according to the 1911 Census, born in Coventry, Warwickshire, in 1884. It is not known who his parents were.  He had, by 1911, moved to Blandford Road, Iwerne Minster, Dorset, where he lived with his wife, Annie Brown, and their son.  Herbert was working as a Domestic Motor Driver.  His wife, Annie, died in 1914 and her death was registered at Shaftesbury, Dorset.  It is known from the Absent Voters List of 1918 that Herbert had enlisted and joined the 2/1st Surrey Yeomanry as a Private (Service No. 46214).  No other relevant information has been found for this former resident.
