Story: Charles Frederick Kellow was born in Teffont Magna, Dorset, during 1893 and baptised there on 10 Sep 1893 the son of George and Beatrice M. Kellow. He lived his early life in Teffont Magna. He married Julia Wright at Holy Trinity Church, Shaftesbury, Dorset, on 8 Sep 1915. He had enlisted with the Duke of Edinburgh's (Wiltshire) Regiment as a Private (Service No. 22537) but later transferred to the Machine Gun Corps (Service No. 141308). (Throughout his military service he was recorded as Reginald Charles Kellow). On his discharge on 16 Mar 1919 he was awarded the Victory and British War Medals. The 1921 Census shows him living at 3 Love Lane, Shaftesbury, Dorset, working as a Carman for United Dairies in Semley, Wiltshire. Hs death was recorded in Salisbury, Wiltshire, during 1952.
