May Roper

Story:
May Roper was born about 1893 at Milton Abbas, Dorset, the daughter of Frank Roper.   By 1911 she was living at 2 Street Lane Cottages, Sedgehill, Wiltshire.  She joined the Red Cross (Voluntary Aid Detachment) in May 1915 and worked throughout the war as a cook and ward orderly at the Tisbury (Auxiliary A) War Hospital, Wiltshire.  She was single throughout this time.  No further information has been discovered.
